MKP (Mono Potassium Phosphate) is the fertilizer that contains the highest concentration of macro elements of any of the completely soluble fertilizers available. Because it contains no nitrogen, it is particularly well suited for intensive applications where lots of fertilizer must be used. Because it does not contain any elements such as chlorine, sodium or other heavy metals, it can be safely used with all kinds of plants.Particularly well suited for application to the leaves, MKP has been proven to be a good protection in the control of fungus related diseases. On account of its low EC values (0.7mS/cm) and because of the low risk of "burning" the leaves, it can be used safely even in high doses.
As it maintains the pH of fertilized water at a pH level of 4.5, MKP allows for the easy absorption of main and trace elements by plants. When mixed with pesticides, it has been demonstrated to improve the effectiveness of spraying. Especially at times when it is necessary to avoid the use of nitrogen, it is the best source of potassium and phosphorus. At other times, when there is need to provide the proper nitrogen type (for example, ammoniac, nitrate or ureic nitrogen) by applying freely, it is the preferred fertilizer choice . It can safely be used alongside other soluble fertilizers. It cannot be mixed with other fertilizers containing calcium (Ca)
